This incredible mare sold in foal to GALILEO, for 2.4 million gns to Horse Weigh client, Blue Diamond Stud. This really well-bred mare was consigned by New England Stud, also a Horse Weigh client . She is an own sister to Champion sire and racehorse GIANT’S CAUSEWAY & dam of the three- time Group 1 winner DECORATED KNIGHT.
“She is very special to us and has an exceptional pedigree. I could not let her go.” Imad Al Sagar, who was the successful purchaser and previous part-owner of the mare with Saleh Al Homaizi, told interviewers. “I am delighted to be able to take this mare home – and she is carrying a filly by Galileo.”
They have been Horse Weigh clients for nearly 10 years, with 2 recessed Kentucky models in operations at their 2 studs.
Blue Diamond Stud, consigned by New England Stud, also purchased the 1.7 million guineas foal at last week’s foal sale. She was out of PEARLING and again by GALILEO. She was the World’s highest priced filly Foal to be sold at public auction in 2018.
