Horse Weigh all set-up at the Defender Burghley Horse Trials 2023, down in the Stables & Competitors Complex!

Horse Weigh are delighted to be again, for another year, the supplier for the horse weighing platforms at Burghley Horse Trials 2023.

The world’s greatest 5* equestrian event, acknowledged globally by leading riders as their ultimate competitive goal, Defender Burghley is also a key date in the summer social season.

Fantastic crowds come from all parts of the country to witness exhilarating equestrian action alongside Burghley’s famous shopping avenues and to enjoy the many other attractions and activities on offer in this truly stunning location.

Our Olympic weighbridge will be available down at the Stables for all competitors, their vets & support crews to use, and from Tuesday 29th August.

* Update. And, the first horse has already been weighed – Con Classic 2, held here by his rider Christoffer Forsberg from Sweden.
This most beautiful 10 year old liver chestnut Holsteiner is having his first 5* run at this year’s Burghley Horse Trials.

Burghley Horse Trials 2023 Harry Meade Away Cruising
Away Cruising being weighed ahead of the first day at Burghley Horse Trials 2023, with long standing head groom, Jess, a stunning sunset backdrop.
Harry Meade is one of only two riders in 2023 to have three horses contending at Burghley Horse Trials. He will be tackling the incredible 5* course aboard
1) Away Cruising: 16 yr old Grey Gelding by Cruise ON x Able Albert, bred by Eamon O’Flaherty and owned by Charlotte Opperman & Jane Dear
2) Cavalier Crystal: 13 yr old Bay Mare by Jack Of Diamonds x Cavalier Royale, bred by Thomas Horgan and ownded by Charlotte Opperman
3) Tenareze: 16 yr old Bay Stallion by Jaguar Mail x Quatar de Plape, bred by M. Patrick Sisqueille, Castera Verduzan and owned by David Bernstein, Nigella Hall & Sophie Caruth
