Day 1 of Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1.

Book 1 of the October Yearling Sale is the finest showcase of yearlings in Europe. For seven consecutive years, the most expensive horse in the world has been sold at Tattersalls’ flagship sale.

Pictured above is Lot 180, A Bay Colt, Frankel x Attraction (2001), is consigned by Horse Weigh’s long standing client Floors Stud, Roxburghe Estate, Kelso; all yearlings are weighed weekly during their pre sales preparation. Attraction was Europe’s Champion 2yr old filly in 2003, Champion 3yr old filly in Ireland in 2004, winning 10 races including multiple Gr. 1’s; Attraction’s previous 2 yearlings averaged 1,475,000gns, both bought by Horse Weigh’s largest client, Shadwell, with the half-brother Elarqam being a dual winner this season for Mark Johnston.

This fine colt (Lot 180) sold for 525,000 gns to Phoenix Thoroughbreds.
